The Golden Renaissance

Hello, my name is Lauren and I am an Ambassador Girl Scout. I have been a proud scout since age 7 and I am now 18. In girl scouts, there are 3 top awards to earn, including bronze, silver, and gold. After completing my bronze and silver, I began choosing a cause for my gold award. I am an artist and prioritize art within my life. I began researching representation within the art world. I found that art made by those considered to be senior citizens was often less recognized. I also learned how beneficial creating art is to the physical and mental well-being of people. After my findings, I decided to create an online gallery showcasing art made exclusively by those who are 55 and over. My website aims to provide a platform for older artists to have their artistic voices be heard and to encourage older artists to continue being creative as it has such a positive impact.
